Job Description
- Support the shipment of goods produced.
- Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Responsible to make arrangements for pick-up by the carrier.
- Affix shipping labels on packed cartons.
- Post weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
- Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Responsible for maintaining traceability as required by customer requirements.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Aerospace experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (or current Green Card holder)
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to understand customer requirements as stated in purchase orders.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by the major freight carriers.
- Ability to estimating weight, and use that information to calculate the cost of shipping.
- Experience with UPS/FEDEX online software is desirable.
- Previous experience shipping to Boeing locations is preferred.
- Knowledge of aerospace quality procedures and expectations.
Physical Demands
- Required to push, pull, lift and or carry up to 50 lbs. and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility
- Must be able to stand/sit for long periods of time
Work Environment
- Work performed in a combination of shop and office environments.
- Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.

Pay Range
$21.00 – $25.00 per hour
