Deburr Technician (Night Shift)

A&G Machine is seeking an experienced Deburr Technician to remove burrs, blend edges, and prep components for high-quality aerospace parts. We are a private, family-oriented company with over 40 years of sustained successful operations, retaining the best talent in the industry.

Job Description

  • Blending/smoothing areas of parts with the use of various tools (air grinder, belt sander, file, etc.).
  • Blending of metals including steel, aluminum, and titanium.
  • Ability to use carbide burr tools to remove excess material from parts without causing damage to part.
  • Ability to create radius on areas of parts.
  • Ability to correct some machining errors on parts.
  • Knowledge of essential equipment needed to perform all tasks associated with deburring as well as maintaining equipment.
  • Selects type of finish specified per work instruction, to determine amount of metal to be removed and examines part for acceptability of finish.
  • Will use various power and manual tools to deburr holes with hand drills, drill press.
  • Will safely use knives to create acceptable edge break on sharp areas of parts.
  • Must be able to identify area of parts that need blending.
  • Must complete travelers/documents correctly.
  • Is expected to complete acceptable amount of work with minimal rework.
  • Visual inspection of parts required.
  • Perform other duties as may be required.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Operators must wear gloves while handling sharp knives and/or parts to prevent injury.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to read a tape measure, mechanical attitude and use of basic hand tools.
  • Valid state driver’s license or identification in good standing.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment, proactively contributing ideas to improve operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, tactful, and self-directed when faced with tight deadlines and fluid environments required.
  • Basic oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Must possess a proven history of being reliable with excellent attendance.
  • Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards.

Physical Demands

  • Required to push, pull, lift and or carry up to 50 lbs. and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility
  • Must be able to stand/sit for long periods of time

Work Environment

  • Work performed in a combination of shop and office environments.
  • Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.

Pay Range

Hourly rate will be determined based on candidate’s experience and qualifications.

$18.00 – $29.00 per hour
